Much of its actual use is colour-coding rather than meaning: sports teams, fandoms and communities pick a heart matching their colour, and blue is among the most claimed.

In server design

On Discord it appears frequently in channel and role naming for anything themed around water, winter, tech or calm, where the colour does the work and the heart shape is incidental.

It is also the standard heart in autism-awareness contexts, which is worth knowing before using it purely decoratively in a community where that reading is live.

In server configuration

It is a standard entry in colour-role menus and a common prefix for water, winter and tech-themed channel groups.

Servers with team or house systems use it as one of a set, where the colour is doing the identifying and the heart shape is just a consistent container.

No rendering caveats

It is an original carrier-set emoji with default emoji presentation, no modifiers and universal support, so it renders reliably on every device in use.

That makes it a safer functional marker than the newer hearts, whatever the aesthetic preference.
