Tool

Discord ships its notification sounds inside the app itself rather than serving them from a public URL, and they are Discord's own assets, so this site does not rehost them. You can pull them out of the copy of Discord already installed on your machine in about a minute.

Where the files live

Windows
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Discord\app-*\modules\discord_voice\
macOS
~/Library/Application Support/discord/*/modules/discord_voice/
Browser
Open Discord in a tab, then DevTools → Network → filter by mp3. Trigger a sound and it appears in the list, ready to save.

Where Discord keeps its sounds

Discord bundles its notification sounds inside the installed client rather than serving them from a public URL, which is why there is no link to copy. On Windows they sit under the local application data directory in the voice module; on macOS, under Application Support in the equivalent path.

The browser client fetches them over the network, so opening DevTools, filtering the Network tab by mp3 and triggering a sound reveals the file directly. That is usually the quickest route and requires nothing installed.

Filenames vary between builds, so a list is a guide rather than a manifest. The set covers message and mention pings, call ringing, voice join and leave, mute and deafen, stream start and disconnect.

What you can do with them

These are Discord's assets. Extracting them for personal use - a ringtone, an alert in your own tooling - is ordinary practice; redistributing them or building a product around them is not, which is why this site does not host copies.

For a project that needs a notification sound, commissioning or licensing one is both safer and better: Discord's are instantly recognisable, which means using them in your own software actively confuses users about where a notification came from.

Changing your notification sound

On desktop, Discord lets you pick notification sounds. On mobile, set it at the OS level after saving the clip.
