Discord Sticker Maker
Discord stickers must be exactly 320x320 pixels and 512 KB or smaller. This maker crops and resizes any image to that spec in your browser and reports the approximate file size, so you can adjust before Discord rejects the upload. Useful for boosted servers that want a matching sticker set.

About this tool
Stickers must be exactly 320x320 pixels and under 512 KB. Unlike emoji, they are sent as their own message and displayed large, so detail matters more.
Upload artwork, frame it with the zoom slider and export a spec-compliant PNG.
How to use
Upload your artwork or photo.
Zoom to frame the sticker.
Download the 320x320 PNG and upload it in Server Settings > Stickers.
Sticker requirements are stricter than emoji
Stickers must be exactly 320x320 pixels and at most 512 KB. Unlike emoji, where the dimensions are a recommendation, the sticker size is enforced - an image of any other dimensions is rejected outright.
Accepted formats are PNG for static stickers and APNG or Lottie for animated ones. Lottie is a JSON-based vector format and is restricted to servers with boost level 2 or higher; GIF is not accepted at all, which surprises people coming from emoji.
Every sticker needs a name and at least one related standard emoji, which is what Discord uses to suggest it in the picker. That tag is required rather than optional.
Stickers versus emoji
A sticker is sent as its own message rather than inline with text, and it renders far larger than an emoji. That makes them reaction pieces rather than punctuation - a sticker interrupts a conversation where an emoji decorates it.
Server sticker slots are separate from emoji slots and are considerably scarcer, starting at five and increasing with boost level. Because of the fixed 320x320 canvas and the size on screen, sticker artwork needs to work as a standalone image rather than a 32-pixel icon.
Stickers vs emoji
Emoji work inline inside a message; stickers replace the message. That makes stickers better for reactions with personality and emoji better for quick annotation.
A matching set of three or four stickers in one style does more for a server's identity than a dozen unrelated images.
Frequently asked questions
What size is a Discord sticker?
320x320 pixels, 512 KB maximum. PNG and APNG are supported; APNG must be created in dedicated software.
Do stickers need server boosts?
Yes, sticker slots unlock with Boost level 1 and increase with higher levels.
Why is my file too big?
Photographic backgrounds inflate PNG size. Flat colours and transparent backgrounds compress far better.
